Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership policies
- Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to test components and systems
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more
- Communicate with Service Advisors about additional services needed and provide estimates
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain required training standards

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers and service advisors
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to quickly and accurately identify problems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills and a team player mentality
- Willingness to continue education and stay up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Certification from a technical or trade school preferred
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification highly desirable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
- Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with manufacturer specifications and warranty procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions including standing, bending, and kneeling
- Stamina to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ensure customers' cars are kept clean and maintain a clean and orderly work bay
