Otsego County Announces Opioid Settlement Grant Funding Opportunity
OTSEGO COUNTY, Mich. — Otsego County is now accepting applications from eligible organizations and community based entities for its 2027 Opioid Settlement Grant funding opportunity. A total of $175,000 is available to support local programs, projects, initiatives, and services that address opioid use and related harms in Otsego County.
About Otsego County Opioid Settlement Funds
Otsego County is expected to receive approximately $2.2 million in opioid settlement funds over the course of the national settlement period. These funds provide an opportunity to support local strategies designed to reduce opioid-related harm and strengthen prevention, treatment, recovery, and community response efforts.
Applying for Opioid Settlement Grant Funds
Funding may be used to develop, implement, expand, or enhance efforts focused on prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery, and related behavioral health initiatives addressing opioid use, substance use disorders, polysubstance use, and co-occurring mental health conditions. All funded activities must meet applicable opioid settlement requirements and directly benefit Otsego County residents.
The funding period for selected projects will run from January 1 through December 31, 2027. The number and size of awards will depend on available funding, the quality of applications received, and funding priorities established by Otsego County.
Applications must be submitted electronically by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026. Applications will be reviewed and scored by the Otsego County Opioid Settlement Steering Committee. Final funding approval will be made by the Otsego County Board of Commissioners. Award notifications are anticipated in December 2026.
