Mulligans at the Bluffs Welcomes Nicole Dell as New Kitchen Manager
GAYLORD, Mich. — Mulligans at the Bluffs, part of Alpen Bluffs Outdoor Resort in Gaylord, is pleased to welcome Nicole Dell as its new Kitchen Manager, bringing extensive culinary experience and fresh ideas to the restaurant’s growing food and beverage program.
Dell comes to Mulligans from Midland Country Club, where she served as a chef. Her culinary background also includes time as a Pastry Sous Chef at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, experience she hopes to draw on as Mulligans looks at expanding its menu and introducing additional house-made offerings.
Among Dell’s early ideas are adding more variety to the Mulligans menu and exploring homemade desserts, including cheesecake and other specialty items.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to bring some new ideas to Mulligans while building on what’s already working,” Dell said. “I love creating food people are excited to come back for, and I’m looking forward to expanding the menu and bringing more house-made items and desserts into the mix.”
Jim Canham, Food and Beverage Director for Alpen Bluffs, said Dell’s experience and creativity make her a strong addition to the Mulligans team.
Nicole brings a great combination of culinary experience, creativity and enthusiasm to Mulligans,” Canham said. “Her background in both restaurant cooking and pastry gives us a lot of opportunities to continue improving and expanding what we offer. We’re excited to have her leading the kitchen and becoming part of the Alpen Bluffs team.”
Dell is also relocating to Gaylord as she takes on her new role and says the community has already made an impression.
“One of the things I’ve noticed right away is how friendly everyone is,” Dell said. “People have been so welcoming, and I’m really looking forward to making Gaylord my home and becoming part of the community.”
Mulligans at the Bluffs is located within Alpen Bluffs Outdoor Resort in Gaylord. The restaurant serves resort guests as well as the greater Gaylord community and features indoor and outdoor dining, along with seven golf simulators and year-round events and entertainment.
