• Huron Pines Annual Spring Clean Up.

Staff from Huron Pines carried out their annual springtime tradition picking up trash along a stretch of the Iron Belle Trail across the street from their office on Old 27 South. The most common items collected included mini liquor bottles, broken car body pieces and cigarette butts. As a conservation nonprofit, Huron Pines works to restore Northern Michigan streams, protect wild lands, manage invasive plants and connect people to nature. Staff still enjoy the reward of cleaning this scenic stretch of trail for walkers and bicyclists ahead of the summer season.
