PETOSKEY, Mich. — Awakon Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the official grand opening of its newest branch, located at 2001 US 31 N in Petoskey. The celebration marks an exciting milestone in the credit union’s 75-year history of serving its members and communities.

The grand-opening celebration will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Guests are invited to visit the branch throughout the day for hourly giveaways and complimentary refreshments from the Tin Can Coffee Truck between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by entertainment, light refreshments, beverages, and an opportunity to network with members of the local business community.

To commemorate the grand opening and Awakon Federal Credit Union’s “75th Anniversary”, Awakon is also offering a special auto loan rate of 2.75% APR for three days only: Wednesday, August 12, through Friday, August 14, 2026.
