Join us at the Alpena Duck Park on Saturday, August 2nd, starting at 9:00 AM for fun-filled festivities. This year promises an expanded array of activities for the community, with competitive kayak races as the main attraction, alongside a variety of family-friendly events. The kayak races return with a thrilling new format, featuring two divisions: Sport and Recreational. Both races will set off from Alpena Duck Park, located at 1510 W Chisholm St., Alpena, MI 49707. The Sport Division race kicks off at 9:00 AM, followed by the Recreational Division at 9:15 AM. Prizes for the Sport Division start at $1000, while the Recreational Division offers prizes starting at $500. Participants can register for the kayak races at northlandcu.com/northlandchallenge. Early registration is set at $25, while day-of registration is $35. A discounted rate of $20 is available for BAC Members, First Responders, Healthcare Workers, Veterans, and Linemen. Beyond the exhilarating kayak races, the Northland Challenge will feature an Arts & Craft Show, Doggy Derby, Food Trucks, Face Painting, and more.
