Program Committee

Purpose:

The Program Committee shall be a broad-based committee of current and active Chamber members who shall annually review Chamber of Commerce programs, networking opportunities and educational seminars for members. They shall monitor and recommend admission fees and sponsorship fees in conjunction with the staff to the Board. In addition to reviewing the financial viability of each event, they shall also monitor the effectiveness of networking and opportunities for business-to-business marketing. In conjunction with the Membership Committee, they shall annually survey the members for topics and trends vital to their education and success, and make recommendations to the Board for changes or additions vital to Chamber of Commerce programs.

Current Programs include but are not limited to the following: Annual Awards Banquet, Taste of Gaylord, Annual Golf Outing, Business After Hours, State of the Community Luncheon, Leadership Otsego County, Connecting Women Luncheon and Food for Thought.

Leadership Otsego County Steering Committee

Purpose:

Fosters a partnership between the Chamber and educational organizations in the county. Provides learning opportunities for Chamber members. Steering committee for the Leadership Otsego County Program.

Government Affairs Committee

Purpose:

To assist in the communication of the Chamber's legislative activities to our members. The committee researches legislative issues of importance to our business community and gives direction to the Chamber Board of Directors by making recommendations.

Ambassador

Purpose:

The mission of the Ambassador team is to serve as goodwill representatives for the Chamber by welcoming new members at various Chamber events, member functions, ribbon cuttings and grand openings. In addition, team members welcome new members, call on members for retention purposes, and encourage participation in Chamber activities and events.
