HDNW Continues DCN Transition While Maintaining Patient Services
Access to dental care remains while HDNW addresses provider staffing needs
The Health Department of Northwest Michigan (HDNW) remains committed to providing transparent and timely information to employees, patients, and community partners as the transition in operational
management for Dental Clinics North (DCN) continues.
As this work progresses, HDNW staff look forward to welcoming DCN team members who choose to join HDNW and continue serving patients in support of our shared vision of Healthy People in Healthy Communities.
West Branch Location Continues Serving Patients
DCN West Branch is currently working through changes in provider staffing. The clinic continues to support existing patients; however, appointment availability may be more limited than usual during this period. We recognize that reduced appointment availability can be challenging for patients and families.
These staffing changes do not indicate that the West Branch location is closing. HDNW is actively working to fill provider positions so the clinic can continue meeting needs of the patients it currently serves, while also creating opportunities to welcome new patients seeking a dental home.
Other DCN Locations and Services Continue
Patient services remain available at all DCN clinics throughout northern Michigan. DCN services also continue through the hospital care program, with no end in sight.
Commitment to Patients and the Community
The priority throughout this transition remains maintaining access to quality dental care and supporting patients as changes are implemented. We appreciate the dedication and understanding of current DCN patients and the broader community while staffing adjustments are underway. If you are a current patient with emergent needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 800-432-4121.
HDNW will continue to share information as the transition progresses and additional details can be confirmed.
