Give Your Input on Downtown Gaylord

(Gaylord) – As a part of the Michigan Main Street Program, Gaylord’s Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is creating a Main Street Transformation Strategy to guide the future of their downtown district. The DDA is seeking input from a wide range of people to assist in establishing goals moving forward.

A brief survey has been released by the DDA to determine what works well for the downtown district and what improvements people would like to see. Lisa Marie Tobin, DDA Executive Director, hopes that many City of Gaylord residents will complete the survey, but it is also available to business owners, community groups, organizations and past visitors to the area.

“Whether you are a resident, employee or visitor to Gaylord, your ideas and opinion of our Downtown matter,” shared Tobin. “As we navigate the many opportunities available to us through the Michigan Main Street Program, we want to first and foremost concentrate on what is important to the people using our downtown.”

The survey is available via QR code or at https://bit.ly/3TzqbT6 and must be completed by October 15, 2026.

The Downtown Development Authority serves as the governing body of the City of Gaylord’s Downtown District and strives to encourage historic preservation, create and implement development plans and promote economic growth in our area.
