The DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION (DMA) is a group of brick & mortar business owners in the Gaylord, Michigan downtown-shopping district), that plans, organizes and executes shopping and community events for that district.
DMA MISSION: Support brick and mortar businesses in the DMA district. Increase customers and enhance the downtown experience through community and shopping events.

Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors:
Ambassador's are an arm of the organization who work to serve as good will representatives within the community. This is accomplished by welcoming new members at various events, member functions, ribbon cuttings, and grand openings. In addition, Ambassadors welcome new members, call on members for retention purposes, and encourage participation in Chamber activities and events.
Another duty of an ambassador is to volunteer at the various networking events and assist in the "networking process." For example if you are a new member or new to the community an ambassador will introduce you to many different people and help to serve as a buffer or ally in assisting you in making as many connections as possible at any one event.
The Ambassador group is currently made up of 20 volunteers and they meet monthly to report on the member retention process, upcoming Chamber Events, and a short sharing period that allows discussion for community events,happenings, new businesses, or things that may be happening in their own business. Becoming an Ambassador allows members to take their Networking to the next level!
