Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is hosting an open interviews at our Gaylord Donor Center. We love what we do, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to join our team in Gaylord !
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Donor Specialist - Mobiles (Starts at $17.00/hr. + with experience customer service or medical, Evening and weekend shift differentials)
No experience necessary we will train you to do a Venipuncture in a Donor setting. Full time Paid training.
*All positions are FULL-TIME and require open availability between 4:00am-10:00pm. schedule is made 2 weeks in advance. Full time (32-40) a week, hours are determined by times of the Blood Drives.

Candidates will receive a link to register for the event and must register for a specific one-hour time slot. Please plan to be on-site for 1 hour (the 1-hour slot includes a tour of the donor center and the mobile bus.) Please bring a copy of your resume.
What you can expect in this position:
We like to think of our phlebotomists as the friendliest vampires you’ll ever meet. We train all of our phlebotomists in the techniques that will help them advance their careers in health care, while working with a compassionate and mission-driven group of professionals. This position would be working at our mobile blood drives working with donors. To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with an eight-week training program. This includes a total of eight weeks of both classroom training and mentorship with an established phlebotomist.
What you will do:- Perform accurate medical interviewing
- Determine donor eligibility
- Perform venipunctures/draw blood
- Ensure donor and recipient safety
- Load, unload, and event set up
- Valid Driver’s License and Reliable mode of transportation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Availability from 4am-10pm – Schedules provided 2 weeks in advance.
- Must be willing to submit to a Drug Screen including marijuana , Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record Check ( this position does involve some driving on occasion of or vehicles only an operator’s license needed) and Physical (lift test)
