Room Redux Northern Michigan Announces Casino Event to Benefit Children

Room Redux Northern Michigan is excited to announce that we have begun planning our 2nd Annual Cards for Kids Casino Night which will take place on Saturday April 22nd of 2023 at beautiful Treetops Resort in Gaylord Michigan. 
Room Redux is a non-profit 501 3 (C) organization that was founded in 2018 by Susie Vybiral in New Braunfels Texas. 

Since its creation, Room Redux has performed 180 Room Transformations for children who have faced trauma including physical and/or sexual abuse. 

Room Redux is a nonprofit organization that focuses on transforming the rooms of children who have faced sexual or physical abuse. Room Transformation can be a powerful tool to foster healing, as many times abuse occurs in a child’s room or bed, making the room itself feel unsafe. As a result, children may stop sleeping, start acting out or may become depressed, avoiding their room entirely. Through donations and grants, Room Redux fully transforms children’s rooms so they will feel comfortable and safe. A new room = a new start.



All of our Room Transformations are done anonymously. We work closely with the caregivers/guardians to discover the childs likes, hobbies, favorite colors, sports teams, athletes etc. Once we have this information, we create an Amazon wishlist for each Room Transformation we are planning. These wishlists are then made public via social media. Any items NOT purchased by a certain date are then purchased by Room Redux. All work that is performed is done by the generosity of our amazing volunteers. Because of the nature of our work, all of our volunteers are required to have a background check done prior to participating in any Room Transformations. 



As a non-profit, we rely heavily on grants, donations and various fundraisers that we hold throughout the year to generate the necessary revenue needed to plan on 12 Room Transformations per year. With the average cost of each Room Transformation running approximately $2500 to $3000 each, events such as this one coming up in April are extremely important for our organization. 

We are looking forward to a fantastic turnout which will include a catered dinner, dessert, a cash bar, a silent auction, a live auction and of course our casino games, no cash prizes will be awarded of course.
