    Job Description
    Skills Required:
    • Demonstrated experience in business operations and bookkeeping competency
    • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Suite, with skills in Excel
    • Demonstrated competency in Donation Tracker and Quickbooks software OR willingness to learn software;
    • Demonstrated ability and interest in marketing, social media and ability to use the internet for research communication and outreach
    • Strong writing skills

    • Ability to interface easily and professionally with vendors, potential donors, and others;
    • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines; and
    • Ability and comfort in working independently or as part of a team on projects.
    Duties:
    • Be a positive and enthusiastic team player;
    • Process/record all contributions, grants and other receipts received each day into Quick Books/Donation Tracker ensuring all information is appropriately captured for each contribution/receipt such as name, address, email, phone, date of receipt, solicitation source code, amount, business or occupational affiliation, name of spouse, if available, etc.;
    • Process/record all pledges received each day into Quick Books/Donation Tracker and establish “tickler file” to ensure review of whether received by date due;
    • Process/record all designated contributions and process a payment
    • Generate individual thank you notes using Donor Tracker within in assigned deadline
    • Follow strict accounting deadlines
    • Work with Department Heads to ensure that all accounting codes are accurately reflected in the system and if payments are split correctly
    • Upon request, generate reports in Quickbooks and Donor Tracker
    • Be an active member and support person for all fundraising activities;
    • Work with the Executive Director (ED) to identify, research and develop solicitation methods for potential funding sources, both organizations and individuals;
    • Generally, assist the ED in fundraising solicitation efforts (helping to identify potential donors, setting up appointments, gathering information for contact), including serving as a support person to any established working committee
    • Attend fundraising events to assist in any activities necessary *(may require some nontraditional business hours)
    • Keep track of and produce thank you notes for all individuals who have been active in the fundraising activities of the UW within assigned deadlines
