2008 ALPENFEST GRAND PARADE

Formation – 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Judging – 11:00 am

Line up deadline – 11:30 am

Starting Promptly at Noon

The Grand Parade is a family oriented event that celebrates Alpenfest.

Entries are encouraged to “Alpenize” or decorate in accordance with the theme –

“Alpenfest 2008 - PURE MICHIGAN FUN”

The Grand Parade is not an opportunity to advertise, campaign or deliver an address.

Entries depicting a political organization, political candidate or controversial issue will not be permitted.

The parade committee reserves the right to dismiss any entry at any time for non-compliance.

• NOTHING may be passed out at the parade
• Participants may not mingle with the crowd, shake hands, etc. 
• All entries must be decorated
• No commercial equipment and vehicles
• There will be no stops along the parade route
• Equine and other animal units must provide their own clean-up equipment
• Maximum height may not exceed 13’ 6” in order to clear overhead wires
• Adequate safety chains must be used on all towed units
• Adequate vision must be provided for drivers
• No dangerous acts, fireworks, weapons or sudden noises
• No alcoholic beverages are to be consumed by participants
• Alpenfest will not provide cars for use in the parade
• Non-parade vehicles will not be allowing in the staging area
• Elected officials are allowed to participate By Invitation Only
