CHAMBER ANNOUNCES BOARD ELECTION RESULTS

The Board of Directors of the Gaylord/Otsego County Chamber of Commerce announced that Mike Fernandez, Todd Gregory and Janice Lucier were elected to three-year terms to the board by a recent vote of the membership.They will be participating in board activities for the remainder of 2007, including the upcoming board retreat, in preparation of taking their seats on the board on January 1, 2008; their terms will expire on December 31, 2010.

Mike Fernandez is the General Manager of Treetops Resort.He moved to Gaylord in 2006 with his wife Denise (originally from Whitehall, MI) and son Michael.Prior to moving to Gaylord, he was the General Manager of The Regent South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida.The majority of his twenty year hospitality career has been spent with two hotel companies, Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons, in various cities throughout the United States.Mike and Denise are expecting their second child this fall.

Todd Gregory moved to Gaylord in 2004 from downstate after starting with Citizens Bank.
Currently the Community President with Citizens Bank-Gaylord. Prior employment included VP of Commercial Lending with National City, Fort Wayne, IN and Controller, MJ Management Services, Trenton, MI. Todd currently serves as a Director with the Otsego County Economic Alliance, is a Gaylord Rotarian, member of the St. Mary Cathedral Finance Council, member of the Business Advisory Committee for Gaylord High School and is a Junior Achievement instructor. Todd and his wife Anne have a daughter Allyson and a son Christopher, who both attend St. Mary’s School.

Janice Lucier is a Gaylord native and has watched the growth of Gaylord from a one flashing traffic signal, to the construction of I-75. She is currently the Operations Manager for Independent Bank in Gaylord.She has been employed in the financial world for the past 28 years and a member of the Chamber with every financial institution that she have been involved with.She was an Officer of First National Bank of Gaylord as well as secretary for the Board until 1994.
