Dear Alpenfest Grand Parade Participants,

On behalf of the Alpenfest Grand Parade Committee, I would like to invite you to participate in the 2008 Alpenfest Grand Parade.  This year’s parade promises to be better than ever, and here’s where you come in.

We plan to have more music, more dancing, and more fun – with a really great theme –

“Alpenfest 2007 - Pure Michigan Fun”.  Start thinking – and get your committees together - the dates for the 44th annual Alpenfest are July 15-19, with the parade taking place on Saturday, July 19th at Noon.

Floats and other appropriate entries will be judged on the following categories:

          Category                   

          Most Original         

          Best Service Club   

          Best Overall            

          Best Use of Theme  

Winning entries will receive a prize and an award ribbon; and each participant will receive an award button.

Enclosed is an application form.  Please complete and return it no later than June 20, 2008.  

Should your entry be accepted, a map of the parade route and your line up number/location will be mailed to you in early July.
