Alpenfest Announces 2008 Main Stage Entertainment

(GAYLORD) The Alpenfest Entertainment Committee has announced the Main Stage entertainment line-up for this summer’s 44th annual community celebration.

2008 Alpenfest president, Patt Dobrzelewski, says the slate of performers is top-notch and includes a fresh array of national and regional performers.

The evening entertainment begins Tuesday, July 15, with the traditional Alpenfest Queen’s Pageant, featuring a collection of poised and talented young women vying for the honor of representing the Alpine Village.

The Young Americans make their annual visit to Gaylord at Noon on Wednesday, July 16. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Wednesday evening, July 16, The Lettermen, the legendary trio, will fill the evening with love songs and ballads to captivate everyone’s heart as they bring their show to the main stage. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday evening, July 17, Alpenfest will welcome country recording artists Highway 101 to the AlpenStage with their unique blend of country roots and traditional rock ‘n roll.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday evening, July 18, we will welcome Hotel California to Gaylord for their first ever Alpenfest appearance.  A tribute act to the “Eagles”, they bring their dynamic revue to the Alpenstage.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saturday evening, July 19 will find New Odyssey on our main stage for the 2008 Alpenfest finale.The zany performance by this trio of multi-talented entertainers will bring Alpenfest 2008 to a high pitched conclusion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Grand Traverse Pipes & Drums Marching Band will made a repeat visit to the Alpenfest Grand Parade, followed by a concert on the Courthouse lawn immediately after the parade. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The zany Rosco the Clown returns to Alpenfest - to entertain the young and "young-at-heart"!  Rosco will be roaming the Alpenstrasse from Wednesday, July 16 through Friday, July 18.  Then he'll join us for the Grand Parade on Saturday, July 19.
