Alpenstrasse Application

You are invited to apply for jury selection into the 2008 Gaylord Alpenfest. Gaylord, a vacation destination in central northern Michigan, will be hosting its’ 44th Annual Alpenfest on July 15-19th. Alpenfest attracts not only local residents but also affluent vacationers enjoying the beautiful Michigan summer days. Additionally, it is Gaylord’s unofficial annual homecoming weekend, with former residents returning to enjoy the festivities.

The Gaylord/Otsego County Chamber of Commerce presents Alpenfest. Expect four days of festivities including a parade, carnival, kids games and contests, pancake breakfast, ethnic food, stages with live entertainment and the World’s Largest Coffee Break. This is a true community celebration!

The Alpine Village Main Street is closed to traffic and magically becomes an Alpenstrasse where you will find 80+ artists and craftsmen from around the country selling their wares.
