MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Purpose: Assists in recruitment of new members and retention of existing members. Evaluate current membership benefits for their effectiveness and relevancy and assist in their refinement. Assist in the identification and development of new membership benefits.

Meetings: 2^nd Monday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Chamber office

Membership Requirement: Chamber member in good standing

Purpose: Assists in planning Chamber events, reviews current programs, and creates new programs

Meetings: 2^nd Tuesday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Chamber office

Membership Requirement: Chamber member in good standing

Current Programs: Annual Awards Luncheon, Athena Award Luncheon, Taste of Gaylord, Chamber Golf Outing, Business Showcase, Business After Hours (BAH), Holiday Business After Hours, Seminar(s), Easter Egg Hunt, Santa Parade

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Purpose: Fosters a partnership between the Chamber and educational organizations in the county. Provides learning opportunities for Chamber members. Steering committee for Leadership Otsego County.

Meetings: 2^nd Wednesday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Chamber office

Membership Requirement: Chamber member in good standing

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Purpose: Heighten awareness of issues pertinent to the business community and ensure that government at the local and state levels is responsive to those issues. We stay aware of pending legislation, review and discuss its ramification on our business community, and when appropriate, draft recommendations for the Chamber Board of Directors to consider for an official position.

Meetings: 1st Thursday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Chamber office
