Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace Class

Learn a new way of handling money with Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University! Make 2017 the year that you become debt free, prepare for the future, and create a budget that actually works for you. Class will begin on Tuesday evening, February 28, from 7 – 9pm and last for 9 weeks. Cost of $95 (per family) for the course includes the FPU membership kit containing all class materials (workbooks, hardcover copy of Dave’s Complete Guide to Money, numerous forms and charts, a set of lesson CD’s, etc) and access to numerous online resources.

Speaker’s Bureau: The Power to Control Diabetes is in Your Hands, presented by Dr. Yelena Isayenko

Dr. Yelena Isayenko will present “The Power to Control Diabetes is in Your Hands”, a speaking event on diabetes and pre-diabetes. Dr. Isayenko will cover types of diabetes, causes and symptoms, who should be tested, lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes, and ways to maintain a healthy diet to prevent diabetes. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Wednesday, March 8th, from 5pm-6pm in the PMB Conference Room at Otsego Memorial Hospital.

*Note: In the event of a school closing, OMH events will be cancelled, as well.

Owl Prowl

Educational Event
5:45 pm to 7:45 pm
Location: Pigeon River Discovery Center

Families-come join and listen for owl calls on a night before a full
moon! They will have refreshments available and kids’ activities, such
as dissecting an owl pellet and making a craft item, starting at
5:45 pm. The main event for all ages will start an hour later at
6:45pm. We will be outside for about an hour walking a trail and
listening for owls (weather dependent) so dress appropriately!
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Explore “TECH” through hands-on workshops in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Meet role models and learn about STEM careers. From bridges to bio-engineering, coding to chemistry - we have fun covered. You will also build “SAVVY” skills to help you now, into college, and throughout life.
Parents and mentors enjoy classes on supporting girls in STEM studies, the challenges of higher education, and more.
