6th Annual Art in the Garden Festival

Fine Arts/Theatre
10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Location: Otsego County Alternative Landscaping Demonstration Gardens

Free to all, the Art in the Garden Festival is an all day event featuring art, music, and conservation-based educational workshops for children and adults. The festival takes place in the 3-acre Demonstration Garden. This tranquil setting not only has shown itself to be the ideal classroom for workshops during the festival, but the idyllic place to soak up the art and music the festival presents. The 2017 Art in the Garden Festival is sure to be better than ever!  Attendance has grown tremendously since its conception in 2012 and the feedback has been consistently positive. With the addition of the amphitheater, attendees can listen to live music in an even more enchanting atmosphere. We are looking for artists/craftsmen who would like to display (and sell) their works. We are also seeking those who have special knowledge of a nature-related topic or hobby that would like to share or demonstrate to small groups in a workshop setting
. Sample topics include woodworking, pond-making, meditation, fine art, GPS, basket-weaving, gardening, fishing, landscaping with stones, lapidary, etc. No great event such as the Art in the Garden Festival is possible without a great team of volunteers. Whether you would like to help out the day of the event, in the days leading up to the festival, or just in some of the planning and preparations, let us know! Last but not least, the Art in the Garden Festival is a free offering to the public but it costs us money! Michaywé Arts & Crafts Fair

Fine Arts/Theatre
Location: Michaywe' Clubhouse

We invite you to join us for the Michaywé Arts & Crafts Fair as we celebrate our 39th anniversary on Friday and Saturday, August 11 and 12, 2017, here in northern Michigan.
Michaywé is a peaceful, four-season recreational and residential community. It is nestled among hills and lush woodlands 8 miles south of the Gaylord, Michigan’s Alpine Village, and just east of I-75. With more than 2,000 acres of forests, our 18-hole championship Michaywé Pines Golf Course (and other nearby golf courses), tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a clubhouse and beach on the lovely Opal Lake, and miles of cross-country ski trails for winter lovers, Michaywé is a stunning setting for the annual Arts & Crafts Fair.
Michaywé’s clubhouse and its wooded, park-like setting serve as the backdrop for the fair, which can comfortably accommodate more than 100 exhibitors. Extensive marketing efforts are already under way, and will continue with a wide variety of online, print, and radio promotions as the fair dates approach.
The Michaywé Arts & Craft Fair co-chairs and staff make it our mission to ensure that each of our exhibitors and all of our thousands of customers return year after year to participate in what is truly one of northern Michigan’s premier art fairs. We look forward to seeing you there!
For additional information, please contact one of our wonderful co-chairpersons:
