The University Center at Gaylord will host a class of Digital Photography with Tony Dunaske.  The objective of this class is to maximize the use of your camera controls to produce the best possible images. This class will include both classroom and field trip activities. The Class runs for 4 weeks long and cost $120.00.

The University Center at Gaylord will host a Digital Photography Lab with Tony Dunaske. This workshop takes you from field image capture to printing an art quality print. The student will learn basics of image capture, camera controls, and enhancement of images utilizing all features of Photogshop. Printing will be done each week using archival paper and pigment dye printer. PLEASE BRING SOME PHOTOS ON FLASH DRIVE OR CD TO WORK WITH. Computer experience is preferred but not required. This is a four week lab and costs $150.

The University Center at Gaylord is hosting a Paper Making At Home Class with Dani Bunn.  Create a papermaking studio easily in your home. Use it to recycle paper or make your own fibers from scratch.  The cost of this class is $25.

The Home depot Kids Workshop, where kids are builders too! Every month a different project, it's the first saturday of every month. we would love to have you come and join us!



The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit.



The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.



In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

Choosing tile is fun, but there's a lot to be said for laying it successfully. We'll walk you through each necessary step and even show you how to use a tile cutter with confidence.

Local naturalist and Pigeon River State Forest historian, Joe Jarecki, will lead participants on a snowshoe hike through beautiful Pigeon River country on Saturday March 6th, from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
