2010 Master Gardener Volunteer Program - Registration
The Master Gardener Program is a horticulture education certificate program offered by Michigan State University Extension (MSUE). The only requirements are to be interested in plants, have enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with others, and have a personal commitment to volunteerism.
The 2010 Master Gardener Volunteer Program will be offered begining Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 6:30pm - 10:00m at the Gaylord High School. Register now through February 15, 2010 by filling out the attached form; for questions e-mail Ed Doss, Master Gardener Volunteer Coordinator at edoss@msu.edu.

“Bringing Nature To Life”— Workshop At Otsego Club
Saturday February 6th -An Introduction to Digital Nature Photography
Designed for novices and intermediates, our Winter workshop registration is limited to 15 people and includes outdoor shooting (dress for winter!), and classroom topics including digital camera basics and composition, Instruction will provide a good grasp of digital camera basics from aperture, shutter speed, white balance, iso to filters, fine tuning, processing, storage and using the and the internet. Composition topics include essential rules of graphic design, use of light/dark, horizon, incongruous graphics, appearances, objects, and breaking established rules.
Location: Otsego Club, Gaylord, MI
Meeting Room: Cedar Room (just behind Duck Blind Grille/Bar)
· Bring any digital camera, “point and shoot” and smaller cameras are just fine
· The storage card for your camera should be empty
· Bring extra batteries
· Bring your camera manual
· An inexpensive “mini” tripod (4-8”) is a welcome asset
· And don’t forget to bring some polarized sunglasses, cold weather gear, handwarmers, snowshoes a plus!
