Michigan Natural Resource Trust Fund - a 35 yr retrospective
The Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund was created in 1976 as a compromise to the controversy over oil and gas drilling in the Pigeon River Country State Forest. Since then the Fund has granted more than $816.6 million for 1,602 projects in each of Michigan's 83 counties. Join retired MI Oil & Gas News magazine editor Jack R. Westbook for a program and book signing of his newly published history of the Fund. A portion of proceeds from book sales will be donated to the Pigeon River Country Association.
