Diaper Drive
The need of in our area continues to grow – already this year families have received over 6,000 diapers from the New Life Center.
Our Goal is to collect a minimum of 5,000 diapers to help meet this growing need. Donations may be dropped off at the New Life Pregnancy Resource Center located at 705 South Otsego Ave. in Gaylord during our regular business hours; Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Help a family in need - please donate today!

Winter Wonders
The Gaylord Area Council for the Arts invites you to come in and see our Winter Wonders Show and Sale featuring beautiful gifts for Christmas.
The art and jewelry are all original pieces provided by our local artists.

Community Thansgiving Dinner
The Community Thanksgiving Dinner is a non-denominational celebration of the gifts we receive from God. It is open to all, free of charge. The meal includes: Roast Turkey, Sage Dressing, Glazed Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Idaho Potatoes, Baked Butternut Squash, green Bean Casserole, Giblet Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Fresh Baked Hard Rolls and Swee Breads, Relish Trays, Cheese and Fruit Trasy and a Dessert Table with Pumpkin, Apple and Cherry Pies and other trimmings. This year's dinner is on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at St. Mary's Cathedral Parish Hall at 606 N. Ohio. Appetizers and fellowship begins at 2:00 pm and dinner is served at 3:00 pm.

Gaylord Turkey Trot
Gaylord Turkey Trot to take place at the Gaylord Regional Aiport at 9am on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th!
5K and 1 mile run/walk
All proceeds benefit the Friendship Housing Center
Cost is $30 for run (with T-shirt) and $15 for the run/walk. Children under 12 are $10 (T-shirts will be available for $15)
The designated path ways will be well marked with water stations available. Prizes will be awarded.
Registration will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. Registration forms can be picked up at Gaylord Herald Times, Eagle 101.5 or Friendship Housing Center.
