Northern Michigan Camping and RV Show
Northern Michigan RV is bringing the first annual Northern Michigan Camping and RV Show to Gaylord! January 12th-15th at The Ellison Place; 150 Dale Drive, Gaylord (former Jay’s Sporting Goods). We will be featuring the newest travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. There will be booths with local campgrounds and on site financing available. Manufacturer representatives will be on hand to answer questions. Mike Avery will be there on Saturday from 10-12 to sign autographs.
The show is also designed as a food drive for The Refuge, a new emergency shelter located near downtown Gaylord. Admission is 3 non-perishable food items or a cash donation.
We will also be giving away a camping vacation and other prizes.

Blacklights and good music set the mood for this fun cosmic bowling. A small admission fee lets you bowl for just 25 cents per game, rent shoes for 25 cents, and enjoy food and drink specials.
Wilderness Sleigh Ride Dinner 2017
The Wilderness Sleigh Ride Dinner is a magical winter adventure. You will meet the Treetops shuttle on the main property and take a 15-20 minute ride to Treetops’ remote Project Nature property where a fire and a hot drink will await you. A 25 minute sleigh ride through the woods will deliver you to the Wilderness Cabin where you will enjoy a four-course meal and assorted beer and wine. After a leisurely dinner the shuttle will pick you up at the Wilderness Cabin and return you to Treetops’ main property. - Be sure to dress warmly! Sleigh fits a total of 16 adults.
Course 1: Lobster Bisque
Course 2: House Wedge Salad
Course 3: 8 oz. grilled beef filet topped with fried onions and a grilled shrimp skewer, served with a cheddar chive mash and a house vegetable

Treetops Resort ~ Skiable Feast ~ 2017
Another event from Treetops Culinary Adventure Series! Don't miss our Skiable Feast for 2017 - our 4th season! This Gourmet Winter Adventure takes you to Treetops’ remote Project Nature property for a 6 km (3.8 mile) intermediate cross country ski excursion you and you friends, or family can enjoy at your own pace with 5 gourmet food and beverage stations along the way! This event is very popular; who doesn’t love being outdoors on a beautiful day in Northern Michigan and being rewarded with a craft beer or local wine and a tasty cup of gumbo before gliding off to the next delight?
The adventure take 4-5 hours

Dog Sledding at Treetops Resort
WHAT: Join Team Evergreen and Liza Dietzen and take an exhilarating ride through the trails on the Jones Masterpiece Golf Course behind a team of dogs that is training for the ultimate sled dog race, “The Iditarod.” Each ride will take you two miles through quite possibly the prettiest trails in northern Michigan. This experience can be enjoyed individually or with a child.
WHEN: December 29, 30 & 31, January 14 & 15, February 11 & 12, and March 4 & 5. Rides are scheduled throughout the day. Call our Reservations Department for a time slot before they fill up.
HOW: Advance reservations are suggested and pre-payment is required at the time of booking. Check in at the Activities Center at least 15 minutes in advance of your scheduled time.
COST: $50 per person, ($15 for additional person in sled). A “sled load” consists of the following:
1 adult under 200 lbs.
1 adult and 1 child under 200 lbs.
2 children under 200 lbs. A separate time slot must be booked for each “sled load.” To accommodate families, it is recommended that you reserve time slots that are back to back.
Meet and Greet the Dogs
If you’d like to meet the dogs up close and hear some history and information about dog sledding, this activity is for you. Join is on select dates and times this season for a ½ hour informational and interactive time with the dogs and the mushers.
WHEN: December 30, January 14, February 11, and March 4 – 1:00 pm
HOW : Show up at the Activity Center and make your way across the street to meet the dogs.
