Educations Seminars / Workshops
Each year the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce hold seminars and workshops meant to educate members on a variety of topics ranging from Customer Services to Marketing their business.
Annual Awards Banquet
Each February the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the extraordinary things local community members, businesses, and organizations have done in Otsego County by presenting the following awards:

* Chamber Volunteer of the Year
* Chamber Ambassador of the Year Award
* Chairman’s Award
* Golden Pineapple Award
* Daune Weiss Memorial – Businessperson of the Year Award
Each year Members help the Program Committee and Board of Directors determine who will receive these prestigous awards by nominating their fellow Chamber Members.
Good Morning Gaylord
New for 2010, the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce introduces "Good Morning Gaylord"(GMG). This new event will be held the 1st Friday every other month at 8am starting January 2010. Each GMG will feature a speaker and a buffett breakfast.
Business After Hours
Attending a Business After Hours is a great way to build business relationships. Each Business After Hours allows you to opportunity to network with fellow business leaders as well as sample first-class food provided by area Chamber Members in a relaxed enviroment.
As a Member of the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce, you are entitled to discounted attendance at networking events including Business After Hours. Being a Member also allows you to sponsor networking events, which gives your business increased exposure.
The cost for attending a Business After Hours is $5 for Chamber Members and $10 for non-Chamber Members; the only exception to this is our Holiday After Hours in December with attendance costing $10 for Chamber Members and $15 for non-members.
Taste of Gaylord
The "Best Tastes" of Gaylord is one of the premiere events held each year by the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce. Some of the finest Chamber Member restaurants take part in this extravaganza of culinary delights as they showcase some of the wonderful items they have to offer.
Tickets are required for this typically sold out event with a $1,000 scholarship being given annually from the proceeds of the event to a local student studying culinary arts or hospitality management.
Annual Chamber Golf Outing
Each August 144 Chamber Members are given the opportunity to golf some of the best golf courses in the area while participating in the Annual Chamber Golf Outing. This event is a great way to network with fellow business leaders as well as enjoy a great game of golf.
Sponsorships are available, giving Chamber Members the opportunity to increase exposure for thier buisnesses.
Business Showcase
October is the time for shining a spotlight on your businesses. Participation in the Annual Business Showcase allows you to meet fellow business leaders as well as market your products and services to people throughout the community. This event is limited to 61 Chamber Members with Early Bird Registration being offered in April.
Admission the day of the event is free to all attendees; each year approximatley 350 people attend this event.
Taste of Christmas
Taste of Christmas is held each year in November and is fundraiser for the Take Time To Care Program. Chamber Member Restaurants offer a sampling of items from their menu to those attending.
Those attending are asked to give a minimum $10 donation to help the Otsego County United Way purchase toys and clothes so that now child in Otsego County has to go without a Christmas present. Donations of toys are also accepted with businesses competing in the Toy Challenge for a chance to take home to Traveling Toy Trophy.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies
A great way to let people know of changes happening at your business is to do a Ribbon Cutting. The Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors would be happy to bring out the big siccors to help any Chamber Member celebrate the opening of a new location, renovation of their building or a big anniversary.
